I Just Adopted a Duck

Well a rubber duck. And it's only temporarily, for a fund raiser. QOL

The Silicon Valley Duck Race is Sunday, June 22, 2008 at Vasona Park in Los Gatos California. This is a fund raiser that helps many different charities. When you sponsor a duck you select the charity you would like your donation to go towards.

Their website says:

Adopt a duck for a chance to win $1,000,000 or one of over 20 great prizes!

10,000 individually numbered rubber ducks will race into Vasona Lake. Whoever holds the winning duck's number wins a prize. The more ducks you adopt, the more chances you have to win. Come early for the festival and enjoy fun, food, and games!

  1. Thank you SO MUCH for posting this. I have got to bring Bridgette to see it. She is obsessed about ducks and this is for a good cause!

  2. Oooh maybe I'll see you there! I'm going for sure. Would love to put together a ducky costume for Kitai but probably won't have time. Plus I need to find out if it's even a dog friendly event. I now the park normally is but I always like to double check just to be sure :o)

  3. That is cool! There's a duck race here in the Kansas City area too. What a great idea!
